Warm Down > Cool Down


Flexibility is fun. But, it's not the only point for a post-workout stretch. Here's some advice to make the most out of the 5-15 minutes after your workout is "done."

1. Make time for your core. Finishing out your workout with some ab work--even if it's just a couple sets of bicycle crunches and flutter kicks--not only connects you with your center, it's also a good reminder to use good posture the rest of the day.

2. Move your stretch. Try dynamic flexibility--thanks, Aktinmotion--instead of static stretches. Do some vinyasa yoga, for example.

3. Treat yourself. This time should feel good. Grab a favorite song or a foam roller and make this your reward for working out!
